/ outside-the-box manufacturing

since 1990

Innovation is at our core. At your service are craftsmen who think outside the box and are unafraid to explore new manufacturing possibilities. Our advanced machinery and climate-controlled production facility guarantee that each piece is crafted to the highest standards regardless of its complexity. Ter Hoek’s techniques can be categorized into EDM (spark erosion), PECM, and ultra-precise CNC-milling.

EDM is a machining method based on spark erosion and is an abbreviation for Electrical Discharge Machining.EDM is a form of material processing that uses electrical tension between the workpiece and an electrode. This creates tiny sparks that melt off minute pieces of the material within a thousandth of a millimeter. The EDM technique can be subcategorized as:

PECM (Precision Electro-Chemical Machining) is a highly advanced machining technology with a high degree of reproducibility, allowing products to be machined to high precision (with an accuracy of up to 0.002 mm).

The search for the right engineering solution is becoming increasingly difficult due to ever-higher demands on maximum allowable tolerances. Innovations in ultra-precise CNC milling have opened up many new possibilities to provide even better, smaller, and more advanced solutions.
Our diverse techniques, including Wire-EDM, micro-wire EDM, die sinking, micro EDM milling, ultra-precise CNC milling, and Precision Electro Chemical Machining (PECM), are tailored, mixed and matched, to meet your specific needs.
